Chocolate Tiramisu: Indulge in This Irresistible Treat!

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream

7 oz dark chocolate

finely chopped

4 egg yolks

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp rum

18 oz mascarpone cheese

at room temperature

2 cups heavy cream

1 1⁄2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso

warm

1 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp cocoa powder

2430 soft ladyfingers

Cocoa powder for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream until just simmering. Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 1 cup of sugar until thick and pale. Stir in 1 tbsp of rum and mix well.
  3. Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and blend until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whip 2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  5. In a shallow dish, mix 1 1⁄2 cups of warm brewed coffee with 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of cocoa powder.
  6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they’re soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  7. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers and drizzle half of the chocolate ganache on top.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and ganache.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor.
  10. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and enjoy your Chocolate Tiramisu.

Notes

For an extra chocolatey flavor, you can add chocolate shavings on top before serving.
