Indulge in this rich and creamy Chocolate Tiramisu, a delightful twist on the classic dessert, perfect for chocolate lovers.

1 cup heavy cream
7 oz dark chocolate
finely chopped
4 egg yolks
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp rum
18 oz mascarpone cheese
at room temperature
2 cups heavy cream
1 1⁄2 cups strong brewed coffee or espresso
warm
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
24–30 soft ladyfingers
Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream until just simmering. Remove from heat and add the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 egg yolks and 1 cup of sugar until thick and pale. Stir in 1 tbsp of rum and mix well.
- Add the mascarpone cheese to the egg mixture and blend until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip 2 cups of heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
- In a shallow dish, mix 1 1⁄2 cups of warm brewed coffee with 1 tbsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of cocoa powder.
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they’re soaked but not soggy. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers and drizzle half of the chocolate ganache on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and ganache.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor.
- Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and enjoy your Chocolate Tiramisu.
Notes
For an extra chocolatey flavor, you can add chocolate shavings on top before serving.
